Orioles Pitcher Mychal Givens Says Wins And Losses Are Irrelevant In Spring Training

Mychal Givens is a relief pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles.

Mychal joined Ed and Steve to talk about his spring training so far, and getting ready to contribute during the regular season.

Mychal started by talking about the mood of the team since they haven't won a game so far saying, "we're just trying to get back in the rhythm...win and loss column isn't important right now, we're just trying to get everyone gelling." As for what he is working on this spring with his own game Mychal said, "still trying to work on my fastball command and my slider, trying to attack hitters and get my confidence like it was last year."

Mychal also talked about the unwritten rule of beaning players saying, "these are my teammates and I want to protect them as best as possible...I don't like the fact that they throw at our guys for whatever reason and he's out for a couple weeks, we have to protect our guys as much as possible."

Mychal also talked about players who have been impressive this spring, and the Orioles lineup and how much power they can produce on a game to game basis.
