BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- For the first time since 1997, the Orioles are headed to the American League Championship Series. The Orioles and their fans go crazy as the O's beat the Tigers in Game 3 of the ALDS.

Rochelle Ritchie reports the excitement can be felt across Maryland.

The city of Baltimore is electric right now after that nail biting win.

It's orange fever at Bond Street Social in Fells Point after the Orioles beat the Detroit Tigers 2-1.

"We're almost there!" Cheryl Ale said.

Orioles Magic is spreading everywhere from Baltimore City to White Marsh as the team continues its trek towards the World Series.

"This town will go. The top will come off," Robert Nusgart said.

It's a sea of orange and black all across Charm City. Some showing their Oriole pride from head to toe--literally.

"I don't think negative thoughts. I've been a fan since I was a little kid. I think they're going to go all the way," a fan known only as Orange Man said.

The youngest of O's fans are counting on their favorite players to bring in another win.

"Steve Pearce. Well, Matt Wieters, but he's hurt. So Steve Pearce," said one young fan.

Fans call the O's relentless and strong and say after beating the Tigers, the team some fans feared the most, nothing can stop them now.

"All the way! All the way!" fans were chanting.

Fans say if the Orioles keep playing like this, then the next series could be another sweep.

"They can hit the home run anytime, anywhere, in any game and that makes them a threat no matter what the situation is," Jim Salisbury said.

The Orioles' next game will be against the Kansas City Royals. Game 1 of the ALCS series starts Friday.
