Orioles Buck Showalter Named Manager Of The Year By 'Baseball America'
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Orioles Manager Buck Showalter was named Manager of the Year by Baseball America.
Showalter is the third manager to be recognized with the award twice since Baseball America began giving the honor in 1998.
He was recognized in 2012 as well.
The Orioles were the 2014 American League East champions and advanced to the series, the first time since 1997. Baltimore's 96-66 record tied for the second-best in the major league and was the club's best season since 1997.
