Orioles All-Star Catcher Matt Wieters Joins Rob Long

Matt Wieters joined Rob to discuss signing his qualifying offer with the Orioles and his outlook for the team's next season.

Wieters tells Rob that his confidence was high that he would find a place to play ball next year...but he's really glad it wound up being Baltimore.

When it comes to playing the catcher position and his physical regiment, Matt says he likes where he's at and feels like Baltimore will help him get back into his routine.

When Rob asked about the makeup of the team Wieters said, "we consider ourselves a 'grinding clubhouse' in there and you have guys with great talent...but when we get down to it.. it's about how can we win this game and that's the special thing about the Baltimore clubhouse."

He goes on to talk about the make up of the organization, whether they were winning or losing, and sending praise to manager Buck Showalter's development of a "we, not me" type of culture in the clubhouse.
