O'Malley PAC Sending Staffers To Other States

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A spokeswoman for Gov. Martin O'Malley's political action committee says about two dozen staffers are being sent to several states, including New Hampshire and Iowa.

Lis Smith, a spokeswoman for O'Malley's PAC, said Monday the move is part of the Democratic governor's push to elect more Democrats this year. She says they will be paid by the governor's PAC. She declined to mention other states where staffers are heading.

O'Malley says he is considering a run for the White House in 2016. He was in New Hampshire this month for a local Democratic Party picnic. He also was in the first-in-the-nation presidential primary state in June for a Democratic dinner.

O'Malley was in Iowa last month to speak to party supporters and headlined a state party convention there in June.
