Ravens Sign OLB Jason Babin

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Baltimore Ravens have signed OLB Jason Babin to a one-year contract on Wednesday.

The move comes following a season ending injury for Terrell Suggs, who tore his Achilles tendon during last weekend's season opener against the Broncos.

Babin is 35-years-old and most recently played for the New York Jets in 2014.

The 267-pounder has played for seven teams: Houston (2004-06), Seattle (2007-08), Kansas City (2008), Philadelphia (2009, 2011-12), Tennessee (2010), Jacksonville (2012-13) and the Jets (2014).

In 2011, Babin's 18 sacks ranked third in the NFL. He also posted 30 tackles and three forced fumbles during that standout season.

The Ravens have also terminated QB Bryn Renner's contract from the practice squad and signed Tony Hills to the offensive line.
