Officials: 'Suspicious Factors' In Severn Fire That Left 2 Dead

SEVERN, Md. (WJZ)—Police now say that a fire in Severn that left two people dead may be suspicious.

It happened around 3:40 a.m. in the 1200 block of Old Camp Meade Road. Officials say when they arrived the house was fully engulfed in flames.

The residence was under construction due to a previous fire in 2015.

On Thursday, one body and several animal remains were pulled from the debris, but authorities said they were searching for a second person.

On Friday, officials say a man's body was pulled  from the rubble.

"There are several suspicious factors in regards to the deaths coupled with evidence recorded from the scene," authorities said.

The identities of both victims are unknown at this time.

Police are continuing their investigation.
