Officials: 4 Hurt After Car Hit 2 Houses In Western Maryland

MOUNT SAVAGE, Md. (AP) -- An emergency management official says four people were injured when the car they were traveling in slammed into two houses in western Maryland.

Allegany County Emergency Services Director Richard DeVore says a collapse team checked the integrity of the buildings in the unincorporated community of Mount Savage after the crash Sunday night. DeVore says he's not aware of any official requests for people to leave the buildings or serious injuries to people who were in the houses.

DeVore says the crash was reported shortly after 10:30 p.m. Sunday and the car ended up on its side after the crash. He says four people who were in the car were taken to a hospital.
