Man In Critical Condition After Officer-Involved Shooting In Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Police say a 27-year-old man who was armed with a knife is in critical condition after being shot by police when he refused to drop the knife and charged at officers.

The Baltimore Police Department reports officers were called out to the 700 block of W. Pratt St. just before 1:25 p.m. for reports of a person armed with a knife at a "medical facility."

Responding officers found the 27-year-old man armed with a knife.

After several requests for him to drop his weapon, police say he charged at officers, which resulted in the officers shooting at the man in the leg and upper body.

No officers were injured in this incident.
