Baltimore Co. Officer Shoots Man At Union Station

WASHINGTON (WJZ)--Two people are injured after an off-duty officer opens fire Saturday night at Union Station.

According to WUSA9, a Baltimore County officer fired his weapon around 8:30 p.m. when a man refused to drop a knife he was holding.

Police say the incident started as a stabbing between two suspects who knew each other. The suspect was later shot after police say the suspect refused to drop his knife on the escalator.

A female bystander was also injured after she was hit in the leg by a bullet or a fragment. Her injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

The suspect's condition is unknown at this time.

The incident remains under investigation.
