Odd Odor Investigated At Pasadena School

PASADENA, Md. (WJZ) -- An odd odor at an Anne Arundel County school delayed the start of the school day for students as fire officials investigated the scent.

Prior to the start of the school day at Lakeshore Elementary in Pasadena, staff complained of an odor that was irritating their eyes.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department was called to the school to investigate.

Administration decided to hold students on the buses, while the odor was investigated.

The building was cleared and student have been allowed into classrooms.

The fire department determined the odor was coming from a malfunctioning appliance in the kitchen.

No hazard was determined and no one was transported.
