Obama Set To Speak At Black Caucus Dinner, Clinton To Mingle
WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama has had the spotlight to himself at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation's annual awards dinner during most of his years in office.
But on Saturday, with the campaign to succeed him in full swing, Obama is facing some competition for attention at the gathering sponsored by a major Democratic Party constituency.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton plans to attend the dinner -- to mingle. She's not expected to give a speech.
Vice President Joe Biden was to attend a caucus prayer breakfast Saturday before heading to his home in Delaware.
Biden has been consulting with family and advisers about whether to make a late entry into the race following Clinton's slip in the polls against Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.
