NFL Shares New Instant Replay Rules And Reorganization

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Head Coach John Harbaugh and The Ravens have been passionate about the need to improve instant replays by expanding the plays that can be reviewed and making the rules easier for everyone to understand.

On Tuesday, Harbaugh kind of got his wish. The owners voted and approved the reorganization of rules that were already deemed reviewable, and added one new aspect of the game for coaches to challenge.

There is now a clear list of reviewable and non-reviewable plays. The reorganization should offer more clarity for officials, coaches, players and fans.

The only addition is the game administration. The league wants to prevent administrative mistakes covering penalty enforcement, proper down, spot of a foul and status of the game clock.

The NFL's new "language" should provide clarity and aid in the replays. You can see the full list here.
