New York Man Charged In Triple Stabbing In Maryland

WALDORF, Md. (AP) -- The Charles County Sheriff's Office has identified the man who has been charged in the stabbings of three people in a car in Waldorf.

The agency said in a news release Tuesday that 25-year-old Marcus Marques Allen of Rochester, New York, has been charged with three counts of attempted murder in Sunday's stabbings.

Police say a 19-year-old man, a 44-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were all stabbed and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening wounds after they ran out of the SUV. A fifth person in the vehicle escaped without injury.

Deputies say Allen fled in the SUV but was arrested in Brandywine after he called 911.

Allen is being held without bond.
