New Poll Shows Big Lead For Van Hollen In Senate Race

BALTIMORE (WJZ)--The Baltimore Sun revealed the results of a new poll today, in the race to succeed retiring Senator Barbara Mikulski.

According to the poll, 45-percent of likely democratic voters say they would support representative Chris Van Hollen.

That's compared with 31-percent of voters for Representative Donna Edwards.

But the game changer in the polls could be Congressman Elijah Cummings.

Although he hasn't decided whether to jump into the race, according to this poll, Cummings would take 40-percent of democratic voters--enough to take over the lead.
