New Parking Meter Rates Going Into Effect

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Parking in downtown Baltimore could soon become more affordable, depending on how far you're willing to walk for a cheap spot.

According to our media partner the Baltimore Sun, parking meter rates on the busiest blocks downtown will increase by 25-cents an hour. However, on quieter streets with less spaces, the rates will drop by 25-cents an hour.

The rates will be phased in over the next three weeks.
