New Dog Park Opens In Baltimore County

TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- Dogs in Baltimore County have a new place to play.

Officials on Saturday opened a new dog park at Honeygo Run Regional Park. The new space, called the Perry Paw Dog Park, cost about $200,000. It includes a key card entry system for members, areas for small and large dogs and water fountains that are pooch-friendly.

The park is operated by the Perry Paw Dog Park Committee, which will oversee daily operations. The group raised $20,000 to contribute toward the park's construction.

The new park is the fourth dog park in the county. It will be open sunrise to sunset. Membership costs $30 per household for up to two dogs.
