Naval Academy Breaks Ground On New Clinic

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- The U.S. Naval Academy has broken ground on a new $41 million health clinic.

The Capital of Annapolis reports officials broke ground for the clinic Friday, and the new building is expected to be finished as early as November 2015. The first patient is expected to be treated at the clinic in March 2016. In addition to serving midshipmen from the Naval Academy the clinic will serve local service members and retirees.

The new building will replace the current Naval Health Clinic Annapolis which was built in 1907 and expanded several times. It offers primary care, orthopedics, physical therapy and dental, optometry and mental health services.
