House Passes Bill To Establish A National Women's History Museum In Washington D.C.

WASHINGTON (WJZ) -- A museum dedicated to women's history is one step closer to joining other museums on the National Mall in Washington D.C.

House lawmakers overwhelmingly approved a bipartisan bill called the Smithsonian Women's History Museum Act.

This comes as the country celebrates the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote.

Supporters said they're going to push for the bill to pass the Senate quickly.
