National Aquarium Releasing Rehabbed Seal in Ocean City

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- This week, the National Aquarium will release a young harbor seal that was rescued in February back into the wild.

"Megatron" was found in Bethany Beach in Delaware and brought to the aquarium, where the animal rescue team there treated him for dehydration, emaciation and skin lesions.

Since then, he's gained 21 pounds and grown 15 centimeters.

According to the aquarium, the animal rescue team is responsible for responding to stranded marine mammals and sea turtles along the nearly 4,360 miles of Maryland coast.
