National Aquarium Hosts 'Pay What You Want Day'

BALTIMORE (WJZ) --  Hundreds lined up at the National Aquarium today for  "Pay What You Want Day." People were allowed to donate whatever they could afford for aquarium admission.

The Pay What You Want Day program allows guests to donate an amount of their choice for admittance. It's made possible by the aquarium's official community engagement sponsor, T. Rowe Price. Parking costs were also discounted with admission tickets at select parking garages that had partnered with the aquarium.

For anyone who missed this year's  "Pay What You Want Day," the Aquarium also has other opportunities for discounted admission. There are year-round Half-Price Friday Nights (Friday nights after 5 p.m.) and discounted Maryland Mornings for Maryland state residents visiting before noon Sundays through Fridays now through February 28. There are also Dollar Days coming in December.
