NAACP To Hold Rally On Missouri Police Shooting

GLEN BURNIE, Md. (AP) -- The Anne Arundel County branch of the NAACP is holding a rally to protest the deaths of Missouri's Michael Brown and Maryland's Kendall Green.

The rally is scheduled for Thursday night at John Wesley United Methodist Church in Glen Burnie

The fatal police shooting of Michael Brown in Missouri has sparked more than a week of nightly clashes between protesters and police.

Green, who was black, was killed after being shot by Matthew Pinkerton, a white man, during an altercation in Glen Burnie last year. Pinkerton was indicted and went on trial, but an Anne Arundel County judge acquitted him before his case went to a jury.
