Murder Warrant Issued In Md. Woman's Killing

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say they've obtained an arrest warrant for a 19-year-old woman accused of fatally shooting a young woman whose body was found along U.S. 40 a few miles west of Frederick on Christmas Eve.

Police spokesman Greg Shipley tells The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown that the warrant charges Neajee Terry with first- and second-degree murder and first-degree assault.

Shipley says Terry has no fixed address. She's charged in the death of 20-year-old Malicia Smith of Hagerstown.

Curtis Evans, a Hagerstown man charged as an accessory after the fact, told police Smith was shot by a woman he knew as Nee Nee outside a car in which all three were driving.

Evans told police he drove Nee Nee to New York City after the shooting and left her there.
