MTA Announces Schedule Changes Due To Weather

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Maryland Transit Administration has announced adjustments to its MARC and commuter bus service because of the weather.

The MARC Brunswick line, which runs out to West Virginia, is operating on an "S" schedule, meaning a reduced level of service due to the inclement weather west of Baltimore.

The two other MARC lines, the Penn and Camden lines, are running on regular schedules Friday.

MARC trains are experiencing delays ranging from 10 to 30 minutes on all lines and Metro announced it is honoring MARC tickets on Friday.

Federal and Maryland state employees are on liberal leave Friday due to the snowy conditions and that will likely reduce passenger loads on all commuter routes Friday.

The MTA commuter bus Route 991, which runs between Hagerstown/Frederick and Shady Grove is also running on an "S" schedule. All other MTA commuter bus routes are running on normal schedules Friday.
