Mt. Vernon Loses Power After Centre Street Collapses

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Mount Vernon residents are without power after a large section of Centre Street collapsed.

City Public Works shut off the electric in the area in order to investigate the cause of the collapse.

Crews are developing a plan to restore power and utility in the area while working on the road.

Centre Street will remain closed between Park Avenue and Cathedral Street until repairs are completed.
