Motorcycle Driver Dead After Crash In White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, Md. (AP) -- Officials in Maryland say a motorcycle driver is dead after a crash in White Plains.

The Charles County Sheriff's Office said in a press release Saturday that officers were called around 5 a.m. Friday to the intersection of Crain Highway and Billingsley Road for a report of a motorcycle crash. The sheriff's office says a preliminary investigation shows that the driver lost control of his motorcycle while attempting to drive in between two tractor trailers which were slowing down for a red light. He was taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries.

The sheriff's office identified the driver as 32-year-old Warren Marcel Chamber of Waldorf.
