3-Year-Old Girl Fatally Struck By Car In West Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A three-year-old girl is dead after being struck by a car in West Baltimore.

It happened around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Penn and North avenues.

Police believe a woman and her child were crossing the street when they were hit by a car.

The child was taken to an area hospital. She later died from her injuries.

The 26-year-old mother is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the car involved remained at the scene.

Detectives continue to investigate the accident.
