More Details On Ravens Security Chief Alleged Sex Assault

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A key player in the Ray Rice investigation now finds himself in trouble.

More details on the alleged sexual assault at M&T Bank Stadium that has Ravens Security Chief Darren Sanders sitting out the team's first playoff game.

Investigator Mike Hellgren has new reaction and an in-depth look at the allegation.

Darren Sanders is a powerful man in the Ravens organization: a former city homicide detective, worked for the team for ten years, close to owner Steve Bisciotti. His accuser told at least four of her coworkers and a witness saw at least part of the interaction.

Ravens Security Chief Darren Sanders stood front and center with team management and police, shaking hands with the commissioner as the Ravens donated motorcycles to the department.

In a peace order WJZ obtained, his accuser now says she fears for her and her family's safety after learning who Sanders is. She provided the most detailed account of the sexual assault she says happened at the stadium after a game December 14.

She was trying to help Sanders with directions, but after a few moments alone, claims his mood changed; that he told her how sexy she was, that he grabbed her buttocks. And when she told him he was out of line, he pressed himself against her and tried to make her grab his private area.

She said he smelled of alcohol.

TMZ REPORT: Ravens Security Director Accuser Convicted Of Fraud

Sanders isn't talking, but his lawyers released a statement saying he is innocent and looking forward to his day in court.

Ravens running back Justin Forsett said Sanders is a great guy and his prayers are with him.

"Yeah, I mean, we've been through a lot of adversity this year," Forsett said.

Sanders handled the team's controversial investigation into the Ray Rice incident. Some fans are wary of another team scandal.

"Oh, no. Not again. Here we go," said one fan.

"The whole organization, they just don't have a moral sense," said another.

Sanders' accuser says the incident left her upset and confused. She reported it to her boss before police got involved.

The charging document does not list Sanders' home address, which is customary. Instead, it's team headquarters in Owings Mills.

Sanders vigorously denies the accusation he's now facing. If he were to be found guilty, he faces a maximum of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

A hearing on the peace order is set for next week. A court date for the sex offense charge is set for February 9.
