Montgomery Co. Police Investigate Double Shooting After Domestic Incident

GERMANTOWN, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County police are investigating a double shooting at a Germantown home where a domestic dispute was reported less than two hours earlier.

Dispatchers received a call shortly after 6 a.m. Sunday from a resident on Frederick Road saying he wanted his wife removed from their home.

After interviewing the husband and wife, officers determined there had been a verbal argument but no physical altercation. The woman told them she would be leaving the home shortly, and the officers left.

Shortly before 8 a.m., officers and emergency workers returned to the home after a woman called 911 and said she had been shot by her husband. The victim stated that her husband had shot himself as well.

The man and woman were both taken to area hospitals with life-threatening injuries.
