Missing Montgomery County Teenager Found Safe

KENSINGTON, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County police detectives are asking for the public's help to find an 18-year-old woman missing since Friday.

Police say Shantol Ramela Anderson was last seen leaving her home in Kensington and getting into a car. They say that Anderson's family says she functions at the level of a 12-year-old and that the family doesn't know who the driver of the car was.

Anderson's family first reported her missing on Monday. It's unclear why they didn't report her absence sooner.

Anderson is black and described as 5-foot-5, 123 pounds, and with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 301-279-8000.
