Baltimore Teen Safe, But Police Still Investigating Her Disappearance

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Police say 16-year-old Kennedi High, who had been reported missing on Wednesday after never returning home from school, has been found safe.

The Baltimore Police Department learned Monday that Kennedi, who is autistic, was inside an apartment complex in Prince George's County and coordinated with authorities there to retrieve her.

She was uninjured, but the circumstances of her disappearance are still under investigation.

Police believe that she was in Baltimore County and Prince George's County for the entire duration of her disappearance.

"It should be noted, that this case is not being investigated as a hoax," police wrote in a press release. "We believe that Kennedi did leave voluntarily, but the situation evolved from there."

They are still asking people with information on the case to contact detectives.
