Mike Preston Says 'Joe Looks Like Joe' On The Practice Field
Mike Preston joined the morning show to share his observations of the first day of training camp.
"You didn't see a whole lot of one on-one, individual stuff, you saw a lot of team concept stuff and formation plays...but Joe looked like Joe. I expected him to show some rust and he did, but what I was looking for was his mobility...He threw one pass, and it was honestly the longest pass I've seen and it was right on target. Maybe that time off upped his arm strength," commented Preston.
Preston said he is concerned a little bit that Flacco keeps bringing up the "mental" aspect of coming back to play. "What it's going to be like when he really gets under fire. A lot of players come back from injury they get out there and just let it go. He's talking about it too much and we have to watch that."
Preston is looking forward to the upcoming practices, the time the players will spend in pads and the pre-season games. The Ravens will host their first open practice on Monday, August 1.
