Mike Preston Grades The Ravens 15-13 Loss To The Dolphins

Mike Preston covers the Ravens and writes a column for the Baltimore Sun sports section.

Mike joined the MMQB crew to give out his grades in the Ravens 15-13 loss in Miami.

Mike started by grading the play of Matt Schaub giving him a D and pointing toward his two turnovers as a reason for the low grade. Mike gave the running backs a grade of B saying "Buck Allen was the major offensive weapon...Terrance West also played well for the second straight game." The receivers were given a grade of C while the offensive line got a C- saying "the Ravens were effective running the ball...offensive tackle play was poor."

As for the Defense Mike started by giving the defensive line a grade of C saying "tackles Timmy Jernigan and Lawrence Guy didn't have a tackle. Ouch." Mike gave the linebackers a grade of B and did so because of the improved play of both Daryl Smith and CJ Mosley especially in coverage. Mike gave the secondary a grade of B+ saying "the Dolphins didn't test the Ravens much, but when they did, the cornerbacks played well."

Finally Mike gave the special teams a grade of B and the coaching staff a grade of C+ saying "the Ravens still play hard, but that might change entering the final four games."
