Michael Phelps Shares Emotional Moment With His Fiancee

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- He's a Baltimore native and the most decorated Olympian in history. Michael Phelps is now sharing with the public an emotional moment for his fiancee caught on camera here in Baltimore.

Marcus Washington has more on how the show of emotion is tied to Baltimore.

They're already engaged and expecting a baby. This moment came as Nicole Johnson, Michael Phelps' fiancee, watched as the locally-based Under Armour, showed the couple Phelps' new commercial.

In the recent phase of the "Rule Yourself" campaign released by Under Armour, there was something missing: the Baltimore native, who just happens to be the most decorated Olympian in history.

Well, that wait is over as Phelps is saying his commercial will come out Tuesday.

While we don't see the video, we see their emotional reactions.

"It's knowing he sacrificed and to see it on the screen. It's cool. It's really cool," she said.

After viewing the unreleased commercial, Michael Phelps says he now lives life without fears and he knows that he cannot or could not have achieved his success alone.

"I think that commercial---I mean, you saw us, we're in tears. That commercial shows a lot of amazing things about me that probably the world has never seen," Phelps said.

"It definitely creates that anticipation of `Oh wow, that was so powerful and strong.' I am really looking froward to seeing what it is that could cause that type of reaction," said Warschawski PR COO Shana Harris.

She says the releasing of this seemingly personal and authentic moment is great for the brands of both Under Armour and Michael Phelps.

"Showing the world that they play with the best of the best, which is what they also try to create that emotion of. `When you wear our gear, you are going to be at the top of your game,'" Harris said.

"The world is going to see the real Michael Phelps, and that's what I'm excited for," Phelps said.

The commercial will be released on Facebook Tuesday.

A short film featuring Michael Phelps promoting the Under Armour brand is expected to be released later this year.
