Metro: Weekend Work To Impact 5 Of 6 Rail Lines

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro says passengers traveling on five of its six rail lines will wait longer for trains this weekend.

Metro says that scheduled work will result in trains every 20 minutes instead of every 12 to 15 minutes on the orange, silver, blue, yellow and green lines.

Metro says that on the red line, trains between Shady Grove and Glenmont will have regular weekend service of every 12 to 15 minutes. From 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. there will be trains every six to eight minutes between Medical Center and Silver Spring.
