Metro: Weekend Work To Affect 4 Of 5 Lines

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Metro says buses will replace trains on parts of the red and green lines this weekend.

Metro says beginning Friday at 10 p.m. and continuing through system closing on Sunday, buses will replace trains on the red line between Woodley Park and Metro Center. On the green line, buses will replace trains at the Greenbelt Station on Saturday and Sunday only.

In addition, Metro says on the orange and blue lines, trains will run every 20 minutes rather than the usual 12 to 20 minutes.

Yellow line trains will operate on a regular weekend schedule.
