Metro Officials To Conduct Train Evacuation Drill In Md.

GREENBELT, Md. (AP) -- Metro officials say they'll be conducting a full-scale emergency response drill at the Greenbelt station this weekend.

Metro says Sunday's drill will last from 8 a.m. to approximately 1 p.m.

Metro says it will involve Metro Transit Police, officials from the Prince George's County Fire and EMS Department, Prince George's County Police, Greenbelt Police and the American Red Cross.

Metro says during the exercise, emergency responders will simulate the evacuation of passengers from a green line train that is disabled on the tracks outside of the station.
