Metallica Perform 'Hit The Lights' To Kick Off 'Late Late Show' Residency: Watch

Bono and U2 may have had to cancel their Tonight Show residency, but the guys of Metallica were in tip-top shape to kick off their week-long stay at The Late Late Show.

The band hit the stage last night (Nov. 17) to perform their song, "Hit the Lights" off their 1983 debut album, Kill ‘Em All, in honor of the CBS show's host Craig Ferguson, who is getting ready to leave the show. But seriously, what a way to go?

Metallica brought the metal to anyone who can stay up past 12:30 am. We bang our heads in solidarity. But don't worry if you couldn't stay up that late, we've got the video for you to watch below.
