Md. Woman Struck By Pickup & Tractor-Trailer, Killed In Wrong-Way Crash In Del.

BRIDGEVILLE, Del. (AP) -- State police in Delaware are identifying a woman who was killed after her car was struck head-on by a pickup truck going the wrong direction on Sussex Highway in Bridgeville.

State police say the woman is Nancy Nelson, 58, of Denton, Md.

After Nelson's car was hit Sunday by the pickup truck she was hit again by a tractor-trailer. A fourth car also sustained minor damage as a result of the crash.

Police say Garrett Cordrey, 21, of Newark was driving the pickup truck. He wasn't injured, and police haven't said why he was heading south in the northbound lanes of U.S. 13. No charges have yet been filed, and the crash remains under investigation.

The tractor-trailer driver suffered minor injuries. No one else was hurt.
