Md. Woman Seriously Injured After Car Falls 75 Feet Into Creek

Annapolis, Md. (WJZ) --- A local woman is listed in critical condition after being seriously injured from a vehicle crash early Thursday morning.

Around 2:14 a.m. police arrived on Aris T Allen Boulevard near Solomons Island in Annapolis. They found an overturned black 2010 Volkswagen Jetta in a creek.

Police believe the car struck the bridge structure at Church Creek and feel approximately 75 feet into the creek. During this time, 23-year-old Laura Blaha, was ejected from the car. She was transported to Shock Trauma where she is listed in critical condition.

According to police, the cause of the crash appears to be excessive speed and alcohol.

The driver, 24-year-old Desmond Brown, and the other passenger, 24-year-old John Graham refused medical treatment.
