Md. Woman Rescued By Helicopter After Falling From Rock Face

ELKTON, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police emergency crews rescued a woman by helicopter after she fell 60 feet down a rock face in Cecil County.

Police say Cecil County Communications received a call just before 12:30 a.m. on Sunday for a female who fell from a rock face and landed along the shoreline in Earleville. Police say a helicopter was dispatched and crews used night vision goggles to find the woman at the base of a cliff.

Police say because of difficult terrain and the remote location a helicopter was used to rescue the woman, who was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.
