Md. Woman Killed By Truck Was Not In Crosswalk

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County Police say a woman killed on Indian Head Highway was not in a crosswalk.

Police say 61-year-old Lucia Miriam Amaya-Brown was pronounced dead at the scene of the Monday morning crash in Accokeek, about 30 miles south of the District of Columbia.

They say a pickup truck was driving northbound on the highway, also known as Route 210, when it hit Amaya-Brown. The driver of the truck stayed at the scene and was cooperating with investigators.

The crash is under investigation.
