Md. Teen Facing Charges After Pointing Gun At Classmate

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ)—A Baltimore County high school student is being charged as an adult after police say he pointed a gun at his classmate last week.

It happened on the afternoon of September 23 at a bus stop located at Elm Drive and Wilson Point Road.

Authorities say 16-year-old Shane Kaleipaihala Pule Jr., an 11th grader at Kenwood High School, produced a handgun after he was confronted by a classmate about a previous incident.

Police say Pule and the victim ride on the same school bus together.

Pule is being charged as an adult with first-degree assault and related charges. He was released on $100,000 bail.

No one was injured in the incident.

The .45 caliber handgun that Pule pointed at the victim was recovered by investigators. Police did not reveal whom the gun was licensed to.
