Md. Taxi Driver Held At Knife-Point In Robbery

CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) -- A female taxi driver sustained a minor stab wound to the neck after she was robbed at knife-point while dropping off a fare.

The Cumberland Times-News reports that the taxi driver was cut with what authorities believe was a knife just before 10 p.m. on Saturday.

Police say the driver had dropped off a passenger on Boone Street in Cumberland when an unknown man wearing a ski mask ran up to her cab, pressed a knife to her neck and demanded money. Police say the driver complied, and suffered a superficial wound from the blade that did not require medical attention.

Police say the suspect fled the scene on foot.
