Md. Rep. Steny Hoyer To Host Bull Roast
MITCHELLVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Maryland Rep. Steny Hoyer is hosting his 34th annual bull roast and birthday party.
The Friday night event is expected to draw a variety of federal, state and local officials. Sen. Ben Cardin and Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown are scheduled to attend.
Reps. Elijah Cummings, John Sarbanes and Donna Edwards also are expected to attend.
The event is taking place at the Newton White Mansion in Mitchellville.
Hoyer, a Democrat, is the House minority whip in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he is currently serving his 17th term.
His birthday is on Saturday. He will be 75.
