Md. Man Who Killed Girlfriend In Target Parking Lot Gets Life

BALTIMORE (WJZ/AP) -- A Hagerstown man who shot his ex-girlfriend after she left a pickup truck during an argument and shot her again as she lay on the ground has been sentenced to life without parole.

Officers say the woman, 24-year-old Mariam Folashade Abebayo of Germantown, died at a hospital after being left to die in the Target parking lot in June 2015. Donald Bricker fled the scene in the truck and led police on a chase.

Investigators say after Bricker's truck crashed, he was arrested and taken to a hospital.

Bricker pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in December. Police videotaped his confession.
