Md. Man Dies In Crash At Susquehanna Speedway

NEWBERRYTOWN, PA (WJZ)—The racing community is mourning the loss of a Maryland man on Sunday, following a one-car accident at the Susquehanna Speedway Park on Saturday night.

The accident happened on the final lap of the 20-lap All American Outlaw event.

A spokesperson for the speedway said the driver, Carnie Fryfogle, of Manchester, was running in the eighth place position out of 19 drivers when the accident occurred.

"The thoughts and prayers from the entire SSP family of employees, friends, fans, drivers and crews are with the Fryfogle family during this difficult time," said Lillian Bell, Susquehanna Speedway Park spokesperson.

Fryfogle was pronounced dead at that scene.
