Md. Man Charged In Heroin Death Could Get Life

GREENBELT, Md. (AP) -- A Maryland man has been indicted on charges that he sold heroin to someone who died as a result of taking the drug.

A federal grand jury indicted 23-year-old Russell Edward Johnson of Lusby on four drug charges on Monday. It's unclear Johnson he has an attorney.

Prosecutors accuse Johnson of selling oxycodone and heroin between April and July last year. They say that as a result of one of those sales, a heroin user died.

If convicted of the charge of distributing heroin resulting in death, Johnson faces between 20 years and life in prison.
