Md. Man And Daughter Starting Over After Fatal Plane Crash

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) -- A Maryland man whose wife and sons died after a plane crashed into the family's home in suburban Washington, D.C. says he and his daughter have started over in a new house.

Ken Gemmell lost his college sweetheart, Marie Gemmell, his newborn son Devin, and his 3-year-old son Cole on Dec. 8 after a private jet slammed into their Gaithersburg home, engulfing it in flames. All three on the plane also were killed.

Ken Gemmell was at work at the time of the crash. His 7-year-old daughter, Arabelle, was at school.

Gemmell tells WRC-TV that as he and his daughter work through their grief, he's encouraging Araballe to move forward. He says he's told her not to "let this completely defeat us" or ruin the rest of their lives.
