BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Several weather advisories are in effect for portions of Maryland through Tuesday night as storms cover the area.

One resident in Frederick, Maryland, told WJZ that hail fell in the area Tuesday night.

Isolated severe thunderstorms were reported across the region, bringing damaging wind gusts and hail.

The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Watch and Flash Flood Warning for several areas throughout Maryland.

The National Weather Service cautions that the flash flooding risk is for small streams, particularly in urban areas like Baltimore and Hagerstown.

WJZ's Bob Turk says the weather will be monitored through the night for the possibility of severe weather.
